We have been getting information about the upcoming craft show season already. I can't believe it is coming up. Julie and I have decided to take a year off from the craft shows. As some might know, I'm due with #3 in August (having contractions as I type!) and Julie is expecting #2 in November! God has blessed us both with girls and we hope they are great friends as they will be so close in age and probably spending a lot of time together. If anything, they will be great models for the products!
With these new additions come obvious responsibilities at home. Our husbands both have non-traditional jobs so aren't always available to babysit on weekends during the craft season! We both really enjoy making bows and necklaces and going to craft shows and talking with customers, however. We don't intend on stopping our craftiness. We are available to take special orders anytime. Keep in mind the Christmas season and be mindful of Julie's new arrival in November when ordering Scrabble Tile pendants! As always, we will certainly to our best to fulfill all orders and make your holidays special with bows and pendants! In the upcoming months, please look for pictures of our current inventories of bows, headbands, pony o's and pendants.
We are hoping to find a spring show to attend once things calm down and the babies get on a "schedule", but we will see. We are throwing around the idea of an open house in time for Mother's Day or Easter (it is late this year), so stay tuned for that. Thank you all for your continued support and interest in Our Favorite Things and thank you for adding our products to "your favorite things" Please e-mail us for any orders in the future! ~ Amy and Julie

Hair Accessory Photos
It seems that the hair accessory photos have become buried, mostly because my sister is much more efficient at taking pictures of the pendants than I am of the hair accessories!
If you are visiting to see pictures of the hair accessory photos, click on November 2009. This is just a sampling of what I have to offer. Don't get your heart set on a particular bow, but I can usually recreate it if it has been sold.
Thanks for your interest and don't forget that until June 18th, 50% of the sales are being donated to The American Cancer Society!!

Relay for Life Sales!
Today's Yard Sale table at Grace Brethren Church was a success! Thanks to some great customers, I was able to donate a total of $91 to The American Cancer Society! More donations to come as I have a couple more special orders to complete. It was a busy day and I don't enjoy feeling rushed and overwhelmed, but that is what allowed me to be able to donate so much to this great cause! The weather was just perfect too.
Remember, if you are interested in any bows for the summer, now is the time to contact me--50% of all sales are donated to The American Cancer Society thru June 19th.

Upcoming Fundraising Event!
We have an upcoming event!
May 1, 2010
8 a.m. - 12 noon
Grace Brethren Church, Calvert County Annual Yard Sale
The bow side of Our Favorite Things will have a table and 50% of the sales will go to The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life (Team Grace-full Footsteps). We will also have handmade purple ribbon ornaments and magnets sold by 3 or 4 adorable children, homemade peanut butter dog treats in the ribbon shape (Barking for a Cure!), Southern Maryland Blue Crab Tickets for sale (American Cancer Society gets 1/2 of the profit from the sale of these tickets!), and a $500 Visa gift card raffle!
Please come out and do some shopping for a great cause. This yard sale is an annual church event which draws a large crowd--there is usually a line to shop at 8 a.m.!
With upcoming new additions in both of our families by the end of this year, we are uncertain about our level of participation in fall craft shows. Ideally, we'd love to continue to go to as many as we have in the past, but realistically family comes first and we aren't sure that this will be possible! We will continue to take special orders, so contact us if you would like special pendants or bows.
We will also up date the blog as far as upcoming events. Thank you for your support!
